THE TREE IN THE MIDDLE OF OUR ROAD

Living Tree MinistriesOnce there was a grand oak tree

In the middle of our road,
It stood like stately sentinel
And was very, very old.
It had weathered many winters and
Its leaves burst forth each spring,
To form a crown of greenery
Atop this lonely king,

Then they planned a wide, broad road
And said the tree must go,
We pleaded but not one of them
Would listen to our “NO”.
The tree is gone but now and then
The ghost of one we see,
Until we’re close it fills the spot
Where the old tree used to be.

For you and me there is a tree
In the middle of our way,
The cross of Jesus; we must choose
To chop or let it stay
In faith – joint heirs with Jesus,
Letting His blood cleanse our soul,
His Word, the Bible, as we read,
Will keep us pure and whole.

His love is light and when it shines
The darkness disappears,
So choose – DECIDE – accept His gift
And shine WITH HIM, my dears

Read the Bible; stretch your mind, be truthful and forgiving,
Use your talents generously, in grateful, virtuous living.

Joint heirs with Jesus are:
1 – Trustworthy and truthful
2 – Loyal and responsible
3 – Helpful and generous
4 – Friendly and forgiving
5 – Courteous and attentive
6 – Kind and tolerant
7 – Obedient and punctual
8 – Cheerful and patient
9 – Thrifty and grateful
10- Brave and virtuous
11- Clean and orderly
12- Reverent and sincere

Interchange yourself with Him and you’ll receive His strength

His love will fill your heart to shine Throughout its width and length

You’ll become a LIGHTHOUSE sending rays of praying, caring,

So in love with Jesus that you’ll live life serving, sharing
