Psalm 37:3  Trust in the Lord and do good, dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.

We grow attributes of character by speaking them into existence in our lives like God created the earth by speaking.  Just do like God did.  Identify how you should be from our Bible guidebook and then say you are what it says you are, believing and having complete trust in God’s ability to feed and grow you when you talk His talk.  Being trustworthy and truthful makes you RELIABLE and HONEST.

There once was a man whose name was Abe

Who worked in a country store

He gave a lady some change one day

Then found he should have given her more

When he closed the store at the end of the day

He walked sixteen miles that night

To give the woman her proper change

And make that matter right

Once he mistakenly used the wrong weight

So someone’s flour was short

He measured the rest when he saw he was wrong

And took it to them as he ought

When the owner died he took over the store

And vowed to pay all debt

Though others had run, over seventeen years

He was true and his course was set

Everyone saw his integrity

Honest Abe became his nick-name

He was an example of good and right

And we ought to be the same

Abraham Lincoln became President of the United States in 1860 and re-elected in 1864.  He signed into law the Emancipation Proclamation bringing an end to slavery in our country and was assassinated by the fanatic John Wilkes Booth five days after the surrender of General Lee that ended the Civil War.  Although he failed many times he just kept keeping on for the God he loved and always did right and good and he became God’s man in the right place at the right time in the history of our country.

In his letter to the Ephesians 6:14 Paul tells us we should put on a belt of TRUTH and stand.  Open your mouth and say every day that you are TRUSTWORTHY and TRUTHFUL to feed your soul on that truth as you and Jesus become one.
