To be loyal is to be faithful, true, and dependable and to be responsible is to be accountable and reliable.  Sounds like trustworthy and truthful, doesn’t it?  Loyal and responsible go together like bread and butter, like peas and carrots, or like a horse and carriage.  If you are loyal to Jesus you will be responsible to keep His commandments.

John 14:15 says “If you really love me you will keep (obey) my commands.”

His commands are all about love and show us how to be ready and willing to love Him and each other with His kind of love that is ever loyal and responsible.

Ten little virgins all in a row  * * * * * * * * * *

Five were ready and five were slow  * * * * *   ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ 

The slow sleepy virgins took a rest  – - – - -

While five were ready to do their best  * * * * *

They shined their lamps when they heard a shout *****

The sleepyheads woke but their lamps were out >>>>>

“WE NEED SOME OIL TO MAKE A LIGHT”

“You should not have slept all through the night.

You’ll have to hurry and buy you some”

So five ran away to shop one by one  .   .   .   .   .

The bridegroom came and shut the gate =====

And when they returned they were too late

Be ready for Jesus and shine your light  \ * /

So you won’t be left all alone in the night  . 

This parable of the ten virgins told by Jesus is found in Matthew 25:1-13.

Matthew 6:24  No one can serve two masters.  Either he will hate the one and love the other or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other.  You cannot serve God and possessions.

Say over and over that you are READY AND WILLING to follow JESUS and you will become His loyal and responsible ambassadors, faithful to Him.  It’s your choice.  Will you chop the cross out of your way and go to sleep like the foolish virgins or will you let it become your tree of life?  If you will choose to serve and obey Jesus by praying, sharing, and caring for others your light will continually shine and you can faithfully walk in that light for Him until He takes you home.  It’s your choice!  I hope you choose to keep on saying that you are loyal and responsible and become like Jesus!Â
